Museum Documentation Basics and the SPECTRUM standard, Woking
Tuesday 2nd May 2017
Museums from across the SE are invited to this workshop at the Surrey History Centre, Woking. It will explore the basics of museum documentation, its importance and how it can be approached by different organisations. Together, we will look at museum documentation with a focus on accountability and Accreditation, including the SPECTRUM standard and primary procedures.
Throughout 2016 Collections Trust have been working on a revised edition of SPECTRUM, following extensive consultation with the museum sector. It will be published in the summer of 2017 and Sarah will introduce changes and revisions to the standard. This workshop will therefore be useful for those new to the topic, as well as those looking for a refresher.
