Morning workshop: Managing Change
The workshop session was led by Dr Dawn Langley, who has extensive experience in the not-for-profit and public sectors as a manager, consultant, policy-maker and funder. She was the first Director of Organisational Development for Arts Council England, leading on the Thrive programme and managing the completion of the Stabilisation and Recovery programmes. The intention of this session is to concentrate on some practical guidance on managing change. This includes staff engagement, including managing our own behaviours and communications, the thorny issue of “resistance” in all its forms and helping people to decide what they can do to make positive steps towards transition. As in previous HMMN meetings active participation is encouraged throughout.
