Arts Award in museums: good practice videos

Find out how museums around the country have used Arts Award to involve children and young people.

Short film on the museums page of the Arts Award website which shows how three museums have approached Arts Award: Peterborough Museum, a fairly typical local history museum; Museum of Lancashire for a First World War experience; and the National Maritime Museum in Greenwich, which runs summer projects for teenagers who wouldn’t usually visit museums. These museums have been chosen to show that you don’t have specifically art-based collections to get involved in Arts Award.

There are also separate short films about each project on the CultureStreet website. The ‘Explore’ film focuses on a group of Y6 students taking part in an immersive First World War experience and illustrates how museums can support children and young people to achieve a First World War Special Edition Arts Award.
